Old photos.
Honest care.
PixAgain is an Android app for restoring old photographs and creating short photo animations. Our focus is a simple workflow and clear choices.
What the app does
Choose a photograph and request an AI restoration. The service aims to reduce scratches and fading while preserving the original character. A monochrome photo remains monochrome: restoration and adding imagined colour are different tasks. AI can still change or invent detail, so always compare the result with your source.
About our examples
The wedding image on this website is a fictional AI-generated photograph with simulated wear. The restoration shown is an actual PixAgain result produced on 25 September 2026. The video is also a real output from a PixAgain generation using that fictional source. These examples are not customer testimonials or historic evidence.
How we make the journal
The PixAgain editorial team uses AI assistance to prepare and translate these guides, checks feature claims against the application, and links to relevant primary sources. The articles explain practical decisions; they are not independent laboratory tests or advice from a photographic conservator. We publish dates when content is released, and update them only when the content changes.
